Hanna is thrilled to join the Studio West teaching staff! A graduate, and now alumni of Studio West, Hanna has been waiting for this moment to share her talent and inspire children in the dance studio ever since she developed the “teaching bug”.
Hanna is one of the most versatile dancers to ever cross the Studio West stage. She has grown up dedicating her heart and soul to becoming a professional dancer, training in all genres of dance including R.A.D Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Contemporary, and Lyrical. Hanna’s passion for dance has been evident in her incredible, award-winning and memorable performances. Under the wing of director Jyla Davis, Hanna has been a dance assistant, assistant choreographer, and student teacher for several years.
Hanna has continued her training through Harbour Dance, she is a scholarship recipient of Fusion Dance Camp, and she has taken workshops from Liz Tookey, Kelsie Chase, Bynh Ho, Christina Bucci, Shawna Smith and Josh Beamish to name a few of her favourites. She has completed her R.A.D Intermediate Ballet Examination and finished on top in several Hip Hop, Tap, Jazz and Contemporary Categories throughout her competitive years. Professionally, Hanna has been a character performer at the Dino Town Theme Park, a dancer in the Special Olympics Opening Ceremonies, a dancer for Victoria Duffield in the BC Lions Home Opener Game, a dancer at the PNE, and a dancer for Dallas Smith during the Grey Cup Pre-show 2014. You can go watch Hanna performing at the PNE this Summer in their new show, “Mermaid Tales!”
Hanna is loved by all the Studio West students who know her. She has a passion for teaching children and creating innovative and current choreography. Her classes are fun, yet focused, and she is dedicated to inspiring youth to love dance the way that she does.
